- MEET SHRUTI -

I come from a strong entrepreneurial background. After graduating from college in Punjab, India, I opened my own fashion boutique called Drishti. Once I got married and moved to the U.S., I settled down in Northern Virginia as a stay-at-home mom. From there,  I began and still run an Indian-based food catering business, Swad Unlimited, where I am the sole chef and offer a variety of homecooked, healthier Indian dishes.

 

Throughout my life, however, I've always had a knack for taking pictures. To figure out whether it was a "mom thing" or a career I wanted to pursue, I began taking professional photography classes at Shaw Academy. I was so intrigued by the complexity of photography, I realized that this was an art I wanted to embrace further. I continued taking courses to earn my certification in Photography, Advanced Photography, Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop. After developing the skills I needed to make this dream a reality, I opened Foto Stop Photography in 2016.

My photography focuses primarily on natural light with a unique artistic style and a love for candid pictures. I specialize in portrait and event photography but am very flexible with my work as I can do anything from maternity sessions and cake-smashes to engagement parties and weddings.
